Steven and Bruce

I went to the West Monroe Walmart after work to pick up a few things. On the way in, I saw two men in a truck leaving. I gave one to the driver. I offered one to the passenger, but he said that I had already gave him one. I asked what his name was. He said "Steven". I remembered that I had talked to him at the Monroe Walmart. I checked my Twitter timeline to find out that I had gave him one on Monday evening. I see him again with a friend, who gets the same tract!
After I left the store, I went to get gas in front of Walmart. There was a man sitting in a car on the other side of the pump that I was at. I gave him a Football Trivia tract and explained what it was about. I asked if he knew where he was gong when he died, He said that a pastor had asked him that same question several years ago (just like Herbert from Wed. Night!). I told him that it was something very serious to think about. He seemed to be touched by our conversation. Please pray for Steven, his friend, and Bruce!

Herbert, McDonald's WiFi, And The Law

We preach at the Claiborne Parish Detention Center three Wednesdays every month. I look for witnessing opportunities after service, usually at a McDonald's or convenience store. I stopped at the McDonald's drive-thru in Farmerville tonight, which is 30 minutes from home. As I was waiting, I noticed a man standing by the parking area. I parked when I got my order. I gave him a Football Trivia tract. I told him that it had 4 questions about football and the 5th one was spiritual. I said that one day that we are going to die just like all football players. I asked him how was he getting to Heaven. He said that someone had asked him that question before. I thought that it may have been recently, but he said that it was 10 years ago! I quoted 1 John 5:13 to him (These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God). I gave him the good person test, taking him through 3 of the Ten Commandments. He said that he would be guilty based on those 3. I asked him to read 1John 5 and Romans 10. I pray that Herbert really thinks about eternity and what Jesus has done so that he can go to Heaven.

Mark, A Nickel, And A Tract

I gave out several tracts Friday night while my family and I were grocery shopping at the Monroe Walmart. I was using the Football Trivia, Play By The Rules, and the Mancard tracts. We were in the front of the store after we checked out, waiting for my wife. I noticed that a man had to put an item back at a checkout. It was a box of snack cakes. I offered to pay for it, but he said that he was only a nickel short. I gave it to him to take care of the purchase. This gave me the opportunity to give him a Mancard tract. He said that his name was Mark and that he worked at a local restaurant. He was going to read the tract when he got home.
Do you look for doors to open for witnessing? They can easily be opened if
watch for them. People are thinking about everything else but eternity and Jesus. Let'a ask for open doors so that people can enter the Door to Heaven!

God Has People Ready To Be Witnessed To!

I read today about a witnessing testimony from Sumner Wemp when he talked to a nurse after giving her a tract. She had just read “Left Behind” and was waiting for someone to tell her how to get saved. Tonight, I went to the Chevron to get milk. I gave the “Are You Ready” tract to a man who was smoking outside by his vehicle. He said that he has been ready. He told me that he had died twice. I told him that he was still here for a reason. He was shot the second time that he died. I asked if he went to church around here. He and his family were on the way home to Arkansas. (I am in Louisiana) When his family came out from the store, we shook hands and left. I pray that he reads the tract and thinks about eternity. God has the right people ready for us to give them the right tract to get them on the right track!
