Armageddon Fest - May 20 and 21

We had a great day and night May 20th, into the morning of May 21st ! It started out at 3:30 pm on Friday with Bro. J.J. preaching at Walmart. I joined him about 4:00 and preached once for 8 minutes while my family watched on. I gave a tract to a homeless man who told me ro pray for his dog when I told him that we would pray for him. He wasn't interested in what we had to say. Bro J.J. was out there for an hour and a half. After 9:00 pm, we went to check out Bastrop. We had a great time doing some " drive-by " witnessing. We reached Monroe around 10:30. We went to our new favorite place to preach. The Tsunami was having an " Armageddon Fest " due to the prediction of Family Radio. We had an awesome time there ! The first person we talked to was a homeless man who was passing by. He told us that he was saved, but had trouble with sin. We prayed for him and gave him a gospel of Romans and John. While we were talking to him, a woman asked us for one of the gospels that we had. We gave away about 6 or 7 of them during the night. Next, a man in a wheel chair came to talk to us. We had seen him the last time we preached. The man who picked him up was the one who told us to have fun in hell. This young man had been paralyzed from his waist down since he was 17 after a drunk driver had hit him and his mother. We tried to get through to him with the gospel, but he was bitter with his situation. Please pray for this man. His last name is Miletello.
Many came to us about the doomsday prediction. We had alot of interesting conversations. One
man asked if we were out there because of the prediction. We told him that we did this all the time. The subject of aliens came up twice. When midnite came around, our best heckler came out to say " The rapture happened and you are still here ! " We proclaimed that it was a false prediction, but people need to ready anytime ! The scripture that was quoted by several was "No man knoweth the hour." We ended the night by talking to a man who we had talked to at the Top Gun a while back. Bro J.J. remembered him. What a great night we had !

May 21 and The Rapture

Matthew 24:36,37 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.


Harold Camping of Family Radio is predicting that there is going to be a giant earthquake take place on May 21, making the earth inhabitable. There will be a rapture of God's chosen, also.
One follower haa spent $140,000 on signs that promote the predicted date. Mr. Camping predicted that the world was going to end in 1994. Have you heard of "88 reasons in 88"? I'm glad the Lord didn't return then. I wasn't saved ! We do not know the exact date, but we do know that He is coming soon. Date setters have come and gone, but only the Father knows, as was stated in our text. What does this mean in soul-winning ? It means we have to work for the Lord with such an urgency in these last days. We have to expect that His coming is soon ! Jesus said in John 9:4 " I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work. Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 5:1,2 : " But of the times and seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night."
We believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. When the rapture takes place, the 7 year tribulation period will begin. I know that there are those who believe mid and post. Someone posted a comment that led to a channel that haa a video that promotes a post trib view. You can believe that if you want, but I believe that the bride of Christ is not going to take a beating before the wedding ! Sure, we may have to go through some things before the rapture, but we are not going through the great tribulation. We are to be looking up for our redemption draweth nigh !
We are to work the fields of souls, telling of His soon return ! May 21 may come and go, but that don't change the fact that Jesus is still coming !!!

May 6 - Preaching at Walmart and The Bars / New You Tube Channel

Last Saturday, Bro. J.J. started preaching in front of Walmart with a small megaphone from his car. He has been wanting to do this for some time. This has added fuel for the fire ! He had a few drive by slowly to hear him for a moment. This Friday, May 6, he added a new channel to You Tube.The channel name is "LiftingUpChrist". We posted two videos from Friday night's preaching at Walmart. In the first one , Bro J.J. Is preaching the Gospel with conviction. Bro. Buddy Day, who goes out with us, is holding up signs. I preach on the second one. We are excited about the open doors that we have to share and declare the gospel ! After we left Walmart, we went to Mcdonald's to try to post the videos on You Tube. We thought the inside was closed because the side door was closed. A young man pulled up on a motorcycle to get something to eat for his girlfriend. After we told him that they were closed, we got to witness to him and give him a tract. Then, we found out that they were still open. We proceeded to the three bars that I mentioned in our first post. It was slow at first, but a group at one club started their taunting. Bro J.J. took off preaching for about 20 minutes. One young woman made a sign. The only word that we could read was satan. I guess she was trying to counter-sign. One man, who was picking up someone, got upset with us being there. He told us to have fun in hell. I believe we are heading in the other direction !
