Friday Witnessing - July 17, 2015

After work, I went to Super One where I gave Skeet the new Eternity: Where? tract(which will be out in a few months). He was getting a case of beer. Quintell, Marcus, and Lawrence took the Yolo tract. Samantha and Anthony, two employees, took the Thank You tract. Anthony showed me where the light bulbs were. They were out of the 35 pack of water that I buy, so I went to Walmart where Shandrika took the Thank You Tract. At the pumps, Randall took the Yolo tract. Tameka, who worked at the pumps, asked me for a "card" when I went to get a gas card. She saw me hand the one to Randall. She said that she was saved and witnessed. I gave her several tracts and invited her to join the Bezeugen Tract Club. Bro. JT, Bro. Charles, Bro. Gary, and I were going to preach at a bar tonight, but there were other street preachers there. We went to Walmart and gave out several tracts. We were able to talk with some. Linda and Ced talked with us for a few minutes. That was one of the best encounters of the night. I asked one man if he were to die, where would he go. He said "Probably to where I don't need to". Bro. Gary and Bro. Charles had a real good talk with Michael. One man laughed after he refused a tract from Bro. Charles. Bro. JT ran into a man who he went to school with. I saw two customers from where I work. Please pray for the seeds that were planted tonight.

A New Tract Carrier

I found a new tract carrier at Dollar General. My daughter pointed it to last week. It's a little kitchen organizer that cost $3.50. It holds nearly 800 tracts.

Monday Witnessing - July 13, 2015

At lunch, I called in a take out order of nachos at El Chile Verde. When I went in, I gave the Spanish Yolo tact to the man who was seating customers. I left a stack of them at the counter when I paid, hoping that Spanish customers would pick them up.
After work: I gave Ron the Yolo tract at the Walmart neighborhood market has pumps. I also slipped one to a man who was going to pay for his gas. At the super Walmart, Gruven and Rocillio, who parked near me, took the Spanish Yolo tract. Jamion, who was probably 16 or 17, was sitting on the bench near the pharmacy. He knew what Yolo meant when he saw the tract. He had a hospital band on his wrist. He said that he had stomach cramps. He had been shot right abode the stomach two weeks ago! I told him that he was fortunate to be alive. When I asked him what happens after we live once, he said "It's over!". I told him the illustration from Hell's Best Kept Secret about the ten speed limit signs. Please pray that Jamion repents and turns to Jesus!

Tract Sharing On Social Media

I've been sending tracts through Twitter for a little while now. I started with the What Happens After #Yolo? by sending it to people who were tweeting yolo.

Bezeugen Ministries is making tracts available for this purpose. This link will take you to the tracts that are in the July tract club mailing. http://www.bezeugen.org/tracts

Evangelism at the 4th Of July Fireworks in Monroe, La. - July 4, 2015

We had a good night of witnessing even though the rain had us getting there late and the crowd was down because of the weather. Bro. Charles, Bro. Gary, Braylyn (my oldest son), Steven (Braylyn's friend from church), and myself were on hand to give out around 500 tracts. I talked with David, who teaches aviation at ULM. He said that he was raised catholic and went to a Christian school. He believes that wherever you are born affects what religion you will be. I asked him to read the bookmark when he had the chance. Several people working tables and food trucks took tracts. Bro. Charles was able to give tracts to 3 Hindu men. He also had one young man ask him if his church accepted homosexuals. As we were leaving, we saw a group of Mormons getting their picture took. We gave them bookmarks and tracts. Please pray for the seeds that were planted.

July 3rd Witnessing

We are getting ready for tomorrow's outreach at our local firework display. Today, I gave out 25 patriotic bookmarks. I had 2 good conversations. One was with Devon in front of Rue 21. We were going to Lifeway to get my oldest son a new Bible. Devon said that he had a lot going on his life and that he didn't know where he was going when he died. I encouraged him to read the bookmark when he had a break. Kennan took one in the Walmart parking lot. He said that he wasn't saved. He also said that his son was going to be a preacher. Two Spanish men took the Spanish Yolo tract, also. Please pray for our outreach tomorrow!

The Story Of The Two Cars Crashing Tract

Every tract has a story. This one originates from the middle of a conversation. Or the middle of many conversations I should say. What happens at times is you get into a conversation. You transition the conversation to spiritual things. Eventually you are talking about how awesome God is. Except, the person you are talking to, doesn’t even believe that God exists. What do you do?

Recently a caller to the ministry had received a Gospel tract at a National Day of Prayer event in Ohio. He suggested that when we hand out Gospel tracts the tract should first “prove that God exists.” I asked if he could prove that God does not exist. He said, “you can not prove a negative.” Well, actually you can, if you possess all the knowledge in the Universe… in which case you yourself would be God!

Over the past few years as people bring up things like the Big Bang and evolution, I’ll ask them questions like “who is responsible for the Big Bang?”, “where did the energy for the bang come from?”, “Where did the first living cell come from to create the chain of events to start the evolutionary process.

Amazingly each one who puts their trust in these things and science in particular will answer “I don’t know” or “scientists are working on it.” So I ask them to imagine two old jalopies driving down the road at high speed right towards each other. When they reach a very high speed they crash right into each other – head on! Then I ask them, “what happens next?”

As if they don’t get it, I go on to explain that a Ferrari is not going to come driving out. Yet that is what some would have you think – a massive explosion that creates order. Nope! The answer is right in the Bible – Genesis 1. God spoke it all into existence. He created it with order. Order that would have the sun rise in a particular way. Order that would allow your eye to focus on this text and read it.

A few months ago my friend Chris Fox sent me a text that said something like “have you thought about making a tract about creation?” We talked on the phone. I shared the background of how I’ve used this analogy plenty of times. So we worked together to develop the text.

So how do you use this tract? It could be one that you “hold in your back pocket” until the time arises that someone opens this box of science, evolution and the Big Bang. When they do, you’ll be equipped to share this with them. Or, it could be you just go up to someone and say, “can I ask you an interesting question?” when they agree follow with “see these two cards right here crashing at high speed? What do you think happens next?” Then see where the conversation goes from there. Or maybe, this is a good tract to leave in a gas pump credit card slot for people to read while they are pumping gas into their car.

Which ever method you use to get the two cars crash head on tract distributed we hope and pray it will be used to the glorify God and bring men to the foot of the cross so that they can repent and believe the Gospel.
