The Hoppy Easter Tract Revisited!

The Story Of The Hoppy Easter Tract

From The Bezeugen Tract Blog

Seems like every year at Easter time there is a long line at every mall to see the Easter Bunny. It is as if people think that the Easter Bunny is what Easter is actually about. My friend and I often have joked about this in the past saying that we should wish people “Hoppy Easter.” The last couple years we talked about how it would make a good Gospel tract. This year, I decided to make the tract. Amazingly when I searched online on google for “hoppy easter” I found the image that we ended up using on the tract and it even said “Hoppy Easter” on it. The picture was royalty free, so we decided to use it for the tract.

Here is a good story that you can use to talk to people about Easter. The best egg is an empty egg! You see when people do Easter egg hunts, they often put candy, money or toys inside the eggs. The kids love to find these and gather what is inside. However, when the egg is empty, it reminds us that the tomb was empty on Easter Sunday as well. That is the message of Easter. An empty tomb because He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed.

The Hoppy Easter tracts are in the April mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club.

Here is the content of the tract-

It's not a misprint. It really says "Hoppy Easter" Why? At Easter time many people decorate eggs and hunt for them. Others stand in line at the mall to see the Easter bunny. Yet, Easter is not about eggs and bunnies. The true message of Easter is that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Christ had to die to pay for the sins of the whole world. Let's see if you needed him to die for you. The Bible says that it is appointed once to die and then the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Ever told a lie? Stolen anything? Hated someone? Christ calls hatred murder (Matthew 5:21). That's just three of the Ten Commandments. Would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? Because God is just, there must be a payment for your sin. Either you can pay by spending eternity in Hell or you can receive, by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ the free gift that God has for you (Mark 1:15, Ephesians 2:8-9). Instead of "Hoppy Easter", repent of your sin and put your trust in Jesus Christ. He will grant you eternal life. Happy Easter!

Give A Tract To Someone Wearing Green Day!

This is a great opportunity to give out tracts, especially if a parade is happening today where you live!

The Story Of The Are You Lucky? Tract From Bezeugen Ministries

“If there is a Heaven, will you go there when you die?”

I’ve asked this questions hundreds if not thousands of times by now. Notice the question is intentionally vague asking “if”. Rather than asserting that there is a Heaven it asks the question in the hypothetical. The answers vary. But all to often I hear “I hope so” or “If I am Lucky!”

I’ll ask the person if they are counting on luck to get home today. Or do you have a plan of which plane, train or automobile to take? Do you have a route in mind? Or do you just travel aimlessly until you might reach your destination. Most reasonable people will agree that they would never make it home without a plan.

Getting to Heaven is the same. There is one way (Jesus). Hope and Luck have nothing to do with it. This tract is a fun way to engage people in a conversation. The question on the front merely asks them if they are lucky and a quick test to find out by pressing their thumb on the shamrock for 8 seconds. People love the intrigue of these tracts to find out if the shamrock will change color. When it doesn’t change it gives you an opportunity to tell them about Jesus.

We hope and pray that the Are You Lucky tract will make sharing the Gospel fun this St Patrick’s Day.

The Story Of The Who Do You Say That I Am? Tract From Bezeugen Ministries

The Story Of The The What Happens After #YOLO Tract From Bezeugen Ministries

This was originally posted on the Bezeugen Tract Club blog:

The story of the What Happens After #YOLO tract

#YOLO – You Only Live Once!

Scott messaged me on Facebook one night and told me that he had been witnessing to people on Twitter using #YOLO. Now, I am not up on all the hastags and such, so honestly, I had no idea what he was talking about.

The world uses #YOLO – you only live once – to imply that since you only live once you might as well live it up, have fun, sin all you want! The saying is also Biblical. Hebrews 9:27 says it is appointed once to die and then the judgement.

As we discussed it and prayed about it we decided to make a Gospel tract. Here is a video of Scott explaining the background of the English and Spanish versions of the tract!

The tract is fun to hand out. People will engage in  a conversation. Sometimes the easiest entry into a conversation is about this tract.

The What Happens After #YOLO tract is available in English and Spanish.
