I Can't Stop!

I can't stop witnessing! I can't stop telling what Jesus has done for me and what He can do for others! I can't stop looking for opportunities to give someone a tract!  The naysayers say it's useless in giving out tracts, but they don't feel what we feel! They haven't been touched like we have been touched! Tracts speak when people  won't listen to us! They are used by God! We may never know the results of our efforts here on Earth!
We must keep on sowing! When we aren't doing open-air preaching or witnessing one on one, we still can place tracts wherever we go.
Please view the As You Go blog that encourages Christians to leave tracts as they do their daily living. The link is

I was invited to post on this encouraging blog by Carl from Bezeugen Ministries. He has a heart for evangelism. The tracts that are sent out through the Bezeugen Tract Club have inspired me to hand out and leave more tracts out. Here is my latest post from Saturday:

Ruston, La. – This city is not too far from where we live. There is a thrift store there that we go to. I expect to see Spanish men there. I gave out seven $1,000,000 pesos to Mario, Abel, Vernon, Juan, Alfredo, Eguardo, and Ricardo. Vernon was a Christian. Abel seemed to be hungry for something more. I gave another Spanish man a tract at the Chinese restaurant where I left tracts at the table and one for the waitress.
As my wife and daughter visited the women stores, my sons and I hit Burke's, McDonald's (for tea and witnessing), and Office Depot.
Brandon and Mon got Mancards at McDonalds. Casey and Randall got them at Office Depot. Casey has already seen a $10 money tract that his friend had found. I think God is trying to speak to him!

Soul-Winning Words

"I care not where I go or how I live or what I endure so that I may save souls.  When I sleep I dream of them; when I awake they are first in my thoughts...no amount of scholastic attainment, or able and profound exposition, of brilliant and stirring eloquence can atone for the absence of a deep, impassioned, sympathetic love for human souls." - David Brainerd

A Habit For Life

This is from the business card of onemilliontracts.com that I received with my new tract order today:

Why should you give out tracts? Here are 10 reasons....
1. They are a very economical form of evangelism.
2. They work while we sleep.
3. They have the ability to get into a house and stay there.
4. They are never afraid or show cowardice.
5. They never compromise their message.
6. They never get tired, discouraged, or give up.
7. They stick to what they have to say and never argue.
8. They can present the message when you don't have time.
9. They can go to places where we cannot.
10. They only speak when they are read.

When giving out tracts, don't ask, "Would you like one if these?". They will probably say "No" or "What is it?"
Instead ask, "Did you get one of these?" That makes the person feel that he is missing out on something, and it also stirs up curiosity. Try it....it really works! If you know the person, ask for their opinion of the tract's content. If you are too shy to give out tracts, mail them when you are paying bills or just leave them where they can be found. Many people have been saved through tracts, including the great missionary Hudson Taylor. Make tracts a habit for life!

Witnessing With Tracts

Tracts are an effective way to witness. I believe in Gospel tracts! One man said that a tract has never blew up in anyone's hand! Giving out tracts can encourage even the most timid Christian. I have been using them since I have been saved. I had a desire to tell someone about the Lord and what He has done for me. I still have that same desire!
James S. Stewart said this in his book titled "A Faith To Proclaim": "A Christian who is taking his faith seriously cannot but evangelize."

I ordered new tracts from onemilliontracts.com. The Mancard has become one of my favorites. The men at our church really liked this one. When I approach a man with it, I ask if he has received his mancard. I explain that it is a gospel tract. I tell him that God wants us to be real men. I gave out three of these on my lunch yesterday at Walmart. I gave one to our UPS driver, too. I gave out a couple last night and a few today.
The Good Test tract came in an assortment pack of 100 tracts that you can get for $3.25. $1,000,000 bill tracts were in my assortment pack, too. I gave a few of these out at the drive-thru of McDonald's on Sunday after nursing home service. The worker at the money window was going to get her manager until I told her what it was. I gave another to the worker at the delivery window after she gave us napkins. I told her "I'll give you a million for them!"
Gospel tracts are a great way to share your faith. Order some today. Visit our links for ordering. If you have never gave them out, pray for the Lord to give you boldness to do so. There is someone out there waiting for someone to give them the Good News! Will it be you?

Friday Night Evangelism

Rain was in the forecast for the night, but it didn't start till later on. Bro. JJ and I were ready to preach, but we were only able to talk to a few people as we held the cross and our "Jesus Saves" sign. A country singer named Corey Smith was playing at the Hookin' Bull in Monroe. There were a lot of people in line when we got there.
We heard a few talking about us. Tom was the first one that we talked to. He said that he went to church in Ruston. He was the designated driver for his friends that were drinking. He also said that he wasn't a fan of that kind of music. We pray that Tom will find some Godly friends to hang out with.
Then, Jessie and Kyle stopped to talk with us. Jessie told us that he was glad that we were there. He was going to a Christian college in Pineville because of football. He has been thinking about spiritual things after going to chapel for a while. We talked to him and Kyle about the born-again experience. Kyle is a walking miracle! After I told him a little about my accident, he told us about his. He had fell asleep while driving about five weeks ago. His neck was cut when his head went through the windshield of his truck. He showed us pictures from his phone. There was blood all over the inside. He admitted that he was fortunate to be alive. God has something planned for this young man! I believe that we had him thinking about the Lord. We gave Jessie and him two tracts each. I hope that they were both distracted from the concert by thinking about our discussion!

After 11:00, we went to Walmart for some tag-team witnessing! We talked to Kenny in the parking lot when we arrived. I asked him if he had seen a man wearing a green shirt and was about his height. He knew that I was describing him. When I asked him where he would go if he died in five minutes, he said that he didn't know.
I told him that we couldn't make it to Heaven on our own righteousness.
It was only through what Jesus had done for us at the cross. I asked him to read his bible. He took a "Get Out Of Hell Free" card. We talked to a few workers and customers as we gave out tracts to them. Lorenzo, Keshia, Brandon, Clay, and Roderick are some of the ones that we talked to. Bro JJ planted tracts in several places. I appreciate the burden that he has for souls.

I needed to get water and milk. It took a while for me to check out. Fortunately, two spanish men got in line behind me. Alberto spoke a little English. When I asked if he was a Christian, he said &aquot;Porquito", which means a little. Hugo said that he went to church in Houston. He was familiar with the Spanish music that I listen to.They work at a chinese restaurant in Monroe.

On the way home, I went through the drive-thru at Taco Bell to get a sweet tea. The same woman that I gave a tract to on Thursday was the one that gave me my order. I remembered that her name was Victoria from her name tag. She said that she needed prayer. I prayed for her at the drive-thru! What a way to end the night: a drive-thru prayer!

Wednesday Night Witnessing

We have church on Thursday nights. Wednesday is open unless we are preaching out or going to jail ministry.
We went to eat at our local mall tonight. While waiting for refills at Raising Cane, I talked with a young man named Brandon. I offered him an "Are You Ready?" tract. He didn't want to take it because of the tombstone on it. I gave him the "Get Out Of Hell Free" card while asking if he was going to Heaven. He said that he heard that you should repent before you die. I told him that he could know that he could be saved by repenting and putting his trust in Jesus. I asked if he had a Bible. After he said that he did, I challenged him to go home and read it. I saw Rashon when I took my sons to Gamestop ( where he works ) to look at DS games. We would see him at a bar called Top Gun where we preached before it closed down.
Before leaving the mall, I met Willie. He seemed confident that he was saved. I hope he isn't a false convert. I gave him a tract and the web address for the blog.
We picked up a few things at Walmart. As we were leaving, I gave "Get Out Of Hell Free" cards to two male Walmart employees and a woman who were sitting in the foyer. I love witnessing!

Evangelism With The Cross

I hit my favorite street corner at lunch today with the cross! It was about time I got back out there! At this corner, there is traffic coming and going from four directions. I usually stay out for about 30-40 minutes when I go. Today I was out for about 15 minutes. A lot of people waved. Some looked at me like I was crazy! That is to be expected. One woman was trying to take a picture while passing by. I waved and smiled! ( We have had our picture taken a few times while preaching at the clubs with our signs. )

I want to paint "Are You Ready?" on the cross. There are many street ministers that use the "Are You Ready?" cross( Paul Latour from "The Word Street Journal" blog, Wayne Dawg from "His Feet On The Street" blog, and several others). Tony Miano from "On The Box" has a great testimony on how he started using this cross in street ministry. Please view this link to see what Carl Kalbfleish did after being inspired.
