He is alive! He is risen indeed! Because he lives, we lives! What a Savior! I pray that you have a great day as we think His Resurrection! This is a poem that I am reposting from Bro. Davy Bogg's blog, The Mile Markers-Boggs Blogs. The blog is listed under our Soul-Winning Friends. He preaches and sings across the country along with his wife,Sis. Kelly and daughter, Sis. Odie. This family is an inspiration to all that hear them. This poem was written a Baptist minister named Willard G. Thomas from Georgia. Be blessed by it!
He Wouldn't Stay Dead
by:Willard G. Thomas
They laid His body in Joseph's new tombAnd filled His disciples with sorrow and gloomThey did not remember what He had saidThat He would die, but He wouldn't stay dead
Mary came at the break of dayAnd found the stone was rolled awayShe saw an angel and in terror fledAnd told His disciples that He didn't stay dead
In that cold dark tomb He would not stayHe conquered death and walked awayAnd now that old grave has lost it's fear and dreadHe lives again! He wouldn't stay dead
Full atonement and pardon were madeAnd forever the sin debt was marked fully paidThe price was His blood as it flowed crimson redAnd I'm thankful today that He didn't stay dead!
Let's go to our churches and cry aloudLet's go to the marketplace and talk to the crowdLet's go to the mission fields that lie up aheadAnd tell the whole world that He didn't stay dead!
Because if Jesus Christ had only diedThen the gulf between us and God would still be wideBut thank God He did what He saidHe got up out of the ground, He couldn't stay dead!
